Snapshot We are seeking an ambitious and commercially-minded intern to help build the business foundation of Grainline Systems. While our engineers build the future of private AI, this role is focused on driving our growth by handling the essential "non-technical leg work"—from sales and marketing to operations and partnerships. You will be instrumental in bringing our cutting-edge technology to market, finding our first key customers, and building our brand presence. We are looking for a student who is passionate about the business side of AI and is motivated to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced startup environment.

The Role This internship requires a strong business acumen and a passion for execution and growth. As the commercial counterpart to our technical team, you will have a unique opportunity to shape our go-to-market strategy. We are looking for a student who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a drive to take initiative. You will gain hands-on experience in an early-stage company, taking ownership of projects across sales, client onboarding, advertising, and partnerships. You'll work directly with the founding team to help us scale.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct market research to identify and qualify potential customers and partners.
Execute outreach campaigns to build relationships with key decision-makers.
Assist in creating marketing materials, managing social media channels, and testing advertising campaigns.
Support the sales cycle and help streamline the client onboarding process.
Contribute to building our brand presence through content, partnerships, and community engagement.
Handle operational tasks that support the company's growth and efficiency.
About You To set you up for success as a Business Development & Growth Stagiair, we look for the following skills and experience:
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, self-starting attitude with a strong desire to execute and learn.
A genuine interest in technology, particularly AI/ML, and the startup ecosystem.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
A solid conceptual understanding of AI/ML fundamentals (enough to follow and support technical discussions).
Prior experience in a startup, sales, or marketing role.
Comfortable with outreach, networking, and building professional relationships.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and CRM systems.
